I have over 4 years experience working with the Samaritans, and 2 years experience at Liverpool Bereavement Service as a Volunteer Counsellor. I recently completed a child loss course at Alder Hey Hospital Trust. I have a level 4 diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and I am currently training to obtain a level 5 diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am also a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy(BACP) (No. 00988674), I am fully insured and I have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
My name is Alan Kirby, I am 62 years of age, and a person centred therapist. While I specialise in bereavement, I am also experienced within and work with people who suffer from; anxiety, addictions, depression and relationship problems. I base my practice on honesty and openness.
