Hi I'm Sharon, a Registered Psychologist and Psychotherapist . I have extensive experience of helping people work through difficult times or challenging life experiences and move forward from these. I have worked in the NHS, HMPPS and private practice, supporting people through difficulties such as trauma, anxiety disorder, stress, burnout, depression, phobias, illness, bereavement, emotional management difficulties, relationship difficulties, low self esteem and loss of self. I am passionate about supporting people and working responsively to help understand and overcome difficulties toward a happy and fulfilling life
I offer care and commitment, underpinned by psychological/therapeutic knowledge and experience, to help you move forward in life. I work compassionately using evidence based approaches, in particular EMDR, to help move past challenging experiences or times in life. I also offer CBT, REBT, ACT and Schema therapy to meet a broad range of needs.
Acknowledging we may need help can be difficult, as can taking that first step to find the right person. I understand this and offer a supportive working relationship based on connection, safety, warmth and trust.
