I specialise in supporting individuals who have been affected by trauma; particularly those who have experienced sexual abuse and/or rape. Do you find yourself feeling disconnected, lost, or struggling with your sense of identity after a traumatic experience? Trauma can often lead to a profound sense of disconnection from oneself. Together, we'll explore different techniques, empowering you to reconnect with your true identity, rediscover your strengths, and reclaim your sense of self. Not all emotions or experiences can be easily put into words. I incorporate creative methods to explore emotions, thoughts, and experiences in a non-verbal way, fostering a deeper understanding and facilitating healing.

There are many points in life when we feels cast adrift, unsure of how we feel or why we feel it. Unsure of how to move forward from our past or even from our present. Much of my work revolves around these moments, supporting my clients to find the right way forward. I work in an integrative, trauma informed way which allows me to tailor the way we work together and hold a compassionate safe space to collaborate within. I believe connection is a core human need and that no one should feel alone with their problems.

Therapy generally can be challenging, discovering ones barriers, patterns of behaviour, amongst many other possible struggles that aren't serving you well in your daily life or that you've been carrying with you for a long time. As a pluralistic counsellor and psychotherapist, I embrace this diversity of human experiences and what each individual brings to the counselling room. I specialise in working with individuals who have experienced abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, addictions and bereavement. Whether seeking support in these areas or others, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore, grow, and thrive.

The first steps we take on our healing journey can be the most challenging but finding the right therapist to work with that you can trust and feel comfortable with can make all the difference in helping you move forward and feel safe and supported in exploring the issues you are facing. I have always believed therapy should be an informal, authentic and relaxing experience. The therapeutic approach I offer is gentle and empathetic , you will find yourself at the centre of our therapy together building a trusting relationship, valuing your individuality rather than just working with your issue.

Life can be a challenge, especially now. As your therapist, I can offer you a secure and trusted space to bring your needs and concerns. I believe that therapy should lead to a “step change” where my clients become able to make an immediate difference to the way they think and their relationships with others. I work to build trust and empathy and strive to understand the world from your perspective. I can help you to understand that small changes to the way you see things can have a major impact on how you feel.

Hey, i am a qualified counsellor. I use a humanistic integrative approach to counselling, which means I draw from various theories using different tools and techniques to create a method of counselling that suits your needs. I believe we are all unique, and what works for one person won't necessarily work for the other. I believe this approach gives us an opportunity to respect you as an individual.

How to describe the massive impact of loss and grief on our hearts, minds and daily life? The weight, chaos and turmoil of grief is a common experience which plays out uniquely in each of us. We lose interest in just about everything; nothing seems to matter. We're often frightened, wondering whether how we feel today we'll still be feeling in the distant future. We're often angry, intolerant of others. We seek so many reassurances... We don't want to let go of our grief because it's connected powerfully to the one we love and miss. How can we learn to let grief share our life? How can we understand it? How can we keep afloat?

I am an experienced counsellor working with people of all ages, to help them towards finding a more fulfilling way of life. I know it is a big step to reach out and seek support. Sometimes even the strongest people need help to work through life’s more challenging problems. You may feel stuck. Like you are swimming through a sea of treacle, and not getting anywhere fast! Whether you struggle with, anxiety, depression, self-esteem or any other issues, therapy can help - it is an opportunity to learn more about yourself and get support in living a life that aligns more closely with what is important to you.
