I am an LGBTQ+ counsellor working online with individuals and couples who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans and queer. Beginning with a free 'getting to know you' session lasting 50 minutes for individuals, I offer a warm humanistic approach. I have 8 years experience working with a wide range of issues including depression, disassociation and complicated grief disorder. As a member of the LGBT+ community I understand issues around minority stress, cumulative childhood trauma, coming out, isolation and belonging.
I draw on a range of approaches which means I adapt the way I work to suit you and your particular problem and stage of life. I trained initially using a Person-Centred model with further training in trauma and disassociation. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples with a foundation in attachment theory
