Are you feeling anxious or experiencing low mood? Do you struggle with low self-esteem? Have you been through a trauma? Do you need someone to talk to? I am a fully accredited person-centred trauma-informed counsellor. I am an empathetic listener and will support you with warmth and encouragement as we work to overcome any difficulties you have. I make our relationship a priority and know how much building trust enables you to open up, reflect and grow inner strength and resilience. I see you as the expert in your life and will strive to empower you to make any changes you think will be beneficial.
I take an integrative trauma-informed approach. My practice is based on the core conditions of empathy, congruence and non-judgement. I may also bring in different approaches such as CBT, positive psychology and psychoeducation to meet your needs. I work with adults over 18 and specialise in anxiety and low mood, low self-esteem, bereavement and trauma.
I believe that everyone has the capacity to change and grow and that with support, you can become the person you want to be. I know how important it is to find the right therapist, someone you connect with and can build trust in so I offer a free initial consultation of around 30 minutes to see if you think we will be a good match to work together.
