Therapy can help us understand these experiences, helping one gain insight and perspective. Gaining understanding can be powerful and prompt change. I work with my client to identify issues within their life that may contribute to distress or problems.
I have vast experience of working within the NHS and charity sector, with clients presenting with common mental health conditions including depression, stress and anxiety. I specialise in working with clients who have suffered from trauma including childhood sexual abuse and issues relating to difference.
I aim to work in a collaborative way with my clients. I am flexible in my approach and try and create a space of openness and safety to allow my clients to explore. I work within the humanistic models as well as using techniques from CBT, DBT, CFD and EMDR (NHS approved). Therpay is a changing process therefore adapt my approach to meet my clients needs.
