Hi! I am Roz (she/her). I work face to face and online. You may be seeking counselling due to feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, angry, confused, lonely, or ‘stuck’; have unresolved childhood issues or have received a mental health diagnosis. Talking with friends or family you may feel unheard or given unhelpful advice. In therapy, I aim for you to feel safe to explore whatever life issues or challenges you are facing. I follow your lead and work in the way most appropriate to you, helping to provide clarity, address concerns, or work towards the improved self-esteem, empowerment, change or self-acceptance you desire.
I work with adults and teenagers with concerns that include neuro-diversity, anxiety, relationships, gender, sexuality, body image, self-harm, grief etc. without judging or advising. I am a University Mental Health Mentor, experienced at working with young adults. Whatever your age, gender, culture, race or faith, we will address the issues important to you.
Our therapeutic relationship is key to the work we do together. I am calm, warm, empathic and respectful in my approach, cultivating a relationship of trust with you in the driving seat; and offering gentle challenge where appropriate.
