Do you feel depressed, overwhelmed, anxious or stuck regarding how things change? I love working with people and offering space, expertise and empathy to find clarity in a moment when everything seems out of control or overwhelming. At your pace, we explore how you currently feel and begin to understand and make sense of your current experience. With knowledge of your past & in becoming aware of how current thoughts, emotions and behaviour interact and how difficulties are maintained, we'll uncover what needs to change. I then hope to empower and give you the confidence and method to make these changes.
My core training is in CBT and these approaches are utilised in all the work that we will do. If assessed as experiencing a clinical mental health disorder you can rest assured, treatment will follow NICE guideline treatment recommendations. Trained in Compassionate Inquiry, we can complete deep work to understand how symptoms developed and prevent relapse.
Couples work is informed by a CBCT approach - Cognitve Behavioural Couples Therapy. I enjoy helping individuals and couples build a better understanding of their difficulties. We discuss the recent problems you have experienced and can look to understand this within the CBT model. I offer appointments in Holywood, County Down or online through Zoom.
