I am psychodynamic psychotherapist specialising in trauma of all kinds, from childhood experiences to medical trauma and dissociation. I offer a safe, non-judgemental space to explore traumatic issues that are preventing you from being fully present in life or achieving certain goals. However, I have worked with clients from a variety of different backgrounds with different presenting problems including, but not limited to, anxiety, low mood, suicidal ideation, work-related stress and identity problems.
As a psychodynamic psychotherapist, I believe that understanding the past can help us to understand the present in new ways, creating new links between past experiences and present behaviours. I use a collaborative yet client-led approach, meaning that I allow you to lead the sessions, whilst helping to guide your decision-making and agency.
Talking to an objective, professionally-trained therapist allows you to speak freely, at your own pace, about the things that are causing you issues in your life, without feeling like you are 'burdening' other people. I see my job as helping you to make links between the different problems you are facing, in order to bring about clarity and understanding.
