I am a person-centred counsellor and place a strong emphasis on my client’s being the experts of their own lives, I am the person to walk alongside and help manoeuvre difficult territoty. Although I’m happy to work with clients of all walks of life and offer a therapeutic relationship to anyone, I have a specific interest in working with queer people, neuro-diverse people and people affected by religious trauma. My practice is primarily focussed around letting my client lead the conversation and I pick up on potentially hard parts and offer empathy, kindness and acceptance to them.
I offer a warm, safe space. Free of judgement and agendas. I have worked in multiple areas in my life including theatre, fitness, retail, youth and children’s work. I have also been a student for cumulatively 6 years in higher education and many CPDs. I understand the therapeutic journey as someone who has been in therapy and someone who offers therapy.
As mentioned, there is no judgement with me. Life is often unkind and unfair. We learn life scripts that it’s “our fault” or “no one cares” or “only I can keep me safe”, leading to isolation and feeling cut off from others and even our inner selves. I offer kindness to that core part at a pace that feels manageable and safe to you.
