Hello, I’m Rebecca Wilson. A Counselling Psychologist based in Swansea. When I’m not spending my time with my two dogs and husband, I am working within the NHS as a community Psychologist. I believe that the context in which we grow up and live in, shapes our sense of self and how we live our lives. I recognise the impact that life struggles and the impact that our social, relational and financial situation can have on our mental well-being. I am passionate about understanding each persons’ story and am keen to understand the link between our stories and our well-being.
I don’t subscribe to a “one size fits all” method in therapy. Each person is unique, and what works for one individual may not be effective for another. Taking an integrate approach, I draw upon various theoretical concepts and ideas that help me to understand each client and choose the best techniques that are always tailored to each person’s needs.
My core values are prevention, empathy, and compassion. I believe in an open and honest approach to therapy, where we can work together to explore and address the challenges you're facing.
