Counselling is a process that is different for everyone, and I am happy to work with you over the long term or short term, depending on your needs. I like to work collaboratively, exploring together the challenges you face. We can work together find ways to address the past, present and move forward into the future in a positive and healthy way. Being able to untangle some of the problems that trouble us can help lead to better relationships with others and ourselves, and ultimately a healthier, happier outlook. These problems and issues can sometimes feel unmanageable on your own, and this is where counselling can help.
Prior to training as a counsellor I worked for many years with young people who had experienced early years trauma. This work led me into discovering how powerful and healing a therapeutic relationship can be. I now specialise in working with adults who have experienced difficulties/trauma, however do not exclusively work in this field.
When you’re talking about personal matters, it’s important to feel respected and listened to, counselling can offer this. I aim to provide a calm and safe environment where you can feel comfortable opening up and sharing often painful and difficult emotions. If you would like a free consultation please get in touch.
