Welcome to PinkGiraffe Neuropsych Practice where we celebrate the unique in every client. PinkGiraffe Neuropsych was founded by Philippa Martin, a neurodivergent clinical psychologist with more than a decade of experience working with people of all ages with the challenges of living with neurodiversity in a dominantly neurotypical world. I am to collaborate with clients offering a warm, safe, non-judgemental therapeutic space for exploration and development of compassionate self-understanding. The aim is to ease the pain or distress of the client as we work towards co-constructed therapeutic goals including adult ADHD assessment.
I have specific expertise in ADHD assessment, and working therapeutically with neurodivergent clients with complex presentations. Amongst others, my experience includes working with personality disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD), depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, stress (personal and work-related), and self-loathing/self-criticism.
Through my years of experience, I have noticed how challenging many clients find starting a therapy or assessment journey. People feel vulnerable and anxious. This insight has led me to develop an approach that is gentle, compassionate, patient and kind. It takes time to feel safe in a new relationship, so I know I need to proceed slowly.
