I am an integrative practitioner, meaning I combine different tools, models and concepts from different approaches to suit each client. I work to the principles of person-centred therapy and honour client autonomy and self-determination. You are the expert on yourself! My role is to help you explore your emotions, experiences and sense of self in a way that nurtures your curiosity, openness and reflection, as well as to challenge when appropriate. I also implement practical psychoeducation through down-to-earth explanations which equips you with knowledge about different psychological phenomena, tools and regulation strategies.
Developing self-compassion is a cornerstone of therapy with me, particularly for highly self-critical clients & clients with low self-esteem. There is also a process of connecting to your core self, embracing your strengths, values, wants, qualities, complexities and self-expression. You receive unconditional permission to be who you are and how you feel.
It can feel daunting to reach out for help in a dark or difficult place, and so the heart of my practice is providing a gentle, compassionate and freeing space where all emotions are welcome.
