We all experience times when our usual ways of being in the world no longer seem to work for us. We can feel stuck or overwhelmed. Counselling can help us see things with fresh perspectives, opening up new possibilities to live a more authentic life with more satisfying connections with ourselves and others. I believe that with the right support, we have an amazing capacity to find our own answers and to be the source of our own healing. I aim to offer a safe, welcoming and non-judgemental space for you to work through whatever it is that may be holding you back from living the life you really want to be living.
I practise relational Gestalt therapy, which means taking a holistic and creative approach, paying attention to what we experience at the emotional, intellectual and embodied levels in order to raise awareness. As well as exploring the legacy of past experiences, our main focus will be on how you are experiencing life in the here and now.
I am experienced in providing counselling in the NHS and have particular experience in working with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, shame and self-esteem.
