Hello, to give you an idea if I might be the right counsellor for you, here are a few of things I offer. If you come to see me, I’ll try to make the room a place where you can hopefully feel relaxed. I’ll always attempt to offer you in the room, a place for you to express your truth, without feeling judged. l won't offer advice or tell you what you should be doing.
Feeling relaxed, unjudged, and not being told what to do, I believe, creates an environment for positive change. Maybe not big changes initially, but small changes, such as; understanding yourself a bit more, feeling more calm, understanding overwhelming emotions a bit better, gain awareness on sabotaging behaviour, and a bit more self-acceptance.
Change, real lasting inner change, as you know, is difficult. But if you're serious about it, then I believe the change you're wanting can happen. And counselling, particularly the counselling relationship, based fundamentally on trust, can offer a place for you to make those changes.
