I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor with 20 years' experience of helping adults from all kinds of backgrounds with a range of difficulties such as depression, anxiety, stress, low confidence and self-esteem, relationship problems, life events such as redundancy or divorce and more. I am trained to work face to face with individual adults but I am also able to offer on-line video sessions using Zoom.
My approach is integrative, drawing on psychodynamic, person centred and relational theories. This means that we will explore any difficulties you are having and see whether they have their roots in the past, especially childhood. Sometimes, becoming aware of repeating patterns can give us control over them.
I aim to listen and respond from a place of hope and unconditional acceptance. I will not tell you what to do or offer advice but try to help you find your own solutions as, deep down, I believe that you are the expert in your own life.
