We discuss your objectives for therapy and use a range of therapeutic tools including simple psychoeducation so you understand the process,which I believe enables personal understanding and clarity . My goal for every client is long term sustainable change in the most effective way possible , and I keep that in mind for every individual with whom I am privileged to work with. During the 20 years of counselling practice I have acquired a range of specialist areas which include working with teenagers, Mindfulness, anxiety , domestic violence , childhood sexual abuse , complex and post traumatic stress disorder . My experience is not only limited to these areas . I also enjoy offering supervision for individual therapists
I am a firm believer that qualifications are purely the tools but they do not make a good therapist. A good therapist is someone who works on themselves ,this comes into the room and naturally creates a comfortable and trusting environment. It is this non judgemental and confidential relationship between client and therapist that moves mountains.
