Hi I am Nicole Henry. I counsel children & young people between the ages of 5- 18 years old. Since working with children and young people supporting their needs brings me such delight to see them grow to become the person they are. Children and young people establish a rapport, build trust and receive an empathetic ear throughout the time spent. Seeing an impact and change within the community of children and young people keeps me going for our society. Along side working privately I work in a primary and secondary school as a school counsellor.
The main challenges children and young people face is anxiety and depression. I tailor my sessions to suit the child as all children respond differently. I want to make sure that children are supported and are safe. I use an integrative approach which means I use multiple theories to work towards the child's and parents goals.
I strongly believe that all children and young people should have access to therapy. I have a good understanding on how children and young people feel and think as I have been in their shoes when I wanted the support. I want to create a safe space for children and young people to grow.
