Living with an addiction can be extremely lonely and isolating. Felling that nobody understands you, comparing yourself to others, wondering 'will I ever get it right'. It can be a very debilitating illness that encourages low self esteem, anxiety and depression. Feeling that it has overtaken your life and that you have no control over it. In the counselling work I will not claim to 'fix' you. However, I can help facilitate a safe and confidential space for you to be heard and understood without judgement. Taking this step might just be your next step to freedom, and renewed self worth.
Offering acceptance, valuing you - as the unique and beautiful individual that you are, I have no expectations in the counselling work. I see it as my role to support, and help you find 'you', again. Appreciating that your journey is your journey, not mine. I hope to help you understand life events that may have contributed to you feeling the way you are.
