My service is aimed at supporting women who have experienced recent or non-recent child abuse, sexual trauma and domestic abuse to feel safe, grounded and in control. Child abuse, sexual trauma and domestic abuse can have a psychological, emotional and physical impact that can leave you struggling to cope, constantly hyperviligent, disconnected from who you are and feeling like there is no way forwards. Because of this suicidal thoughts and self-harm can also be common after experiencing these traumas. I specialise in suicide prevention and harm reduction, working collaboratively to explore any internal pain you may be experiencing.
I use trauma-informed therapy to help keep you safe whilst we address the impact of sexual trauma. I use parts work to help you understand different aspects of yourself, which may include feelings of shame, fear, or a want to hurt yourself. By allowing those parts to be explored, you can begin to reconnect with yourself and increase self-worth.
