I am a warm, open, person centred counsellor. I work in a holistic and creative way. I aim to provide a non-judgmental and safe space for you to explore your issues and to develop understanding. This in turn leads to the possibility of deep and lasting change. Over the past eighteen years I have helped many clients develop greater self-awareness and kindness towards themselves, working with a variety of issues including: anxiety, attachment issues and trauma, depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, work related issues, loneliness, sexual violence, trauma and peri-natal issues.
I can support you to change patterns that may no longer work for you and to help you find new ways to resource yourself and to relate to others. I am interested in bringing our bodies into therapy and have a growing interest in trauma and neurodivergence.
Reaching out can be daunting; often we have tried everything to 'fix' ourselves before coming to therapy. I will work alongside you so that you feel safe enough to share your difficulties. Research repeatedly shows that it is the quality of the therapeutic relationship that is the most potent factor for change and I will work to facilitate this with you.
