I have 10 years post-qualification experience supporting clients with a range of issues, including grief and loss in its many forms. I have worked with Cruse Bereavement Care since 2011 as counsellor in the community, within prisons & as a trainer. I support clients manage their anxiety; depression; self-esteem; unhelpful thinking; adverse childhood experiences; sexuality and gender identity; abuse and risk of abusing; relationships - breakdowns, improving them & changing unhelpful patterns. I have worked extensively with adolescents in school and college settings and with adults from a diversity of backgrounds.
My approach to therapy is based around compassion, collaboration, confidentiality, empowerment and respect. I believe each of us need different things at different times and my approach reflects that; it is client-led, flexible and tailored to your priorities, needs & goals.
I bring to the sessions my knowledge, enthusiasm, a desire to connect and a belief that you have the power to change and the resources required to bring about that change lie within you. I have experience of both long-term and shorter, more solution-focused work. I work to your needs, agenda and budget.
