I am a HCPC accredited Clinical Psychologist working in the Bristol area. I have over ten years experience working with adults, adolescents and children using evidence-based therapies to address their psychological difficulty, increase emotional awareness and move towards a calmer, more fulfilled life. My experience working with clients has emphasised to me the importance of curiosity, honesty and compassion in psychological work, where time can be taken to explore challenges. This therefore underpins my practice; I strive to create an environment which promotes honest reflective thinking in order to facilitate psychological change.
I have training and experience in treating a wide range of psychological problems, such as anxiety, depression, stress, OCD, relational difficulties, emotional dysregulation. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, CFT, DBT, ACT and incorporate the practice of mindfulness, breathwork techniques and communication strategies.
All work will commence with a detailed assessment followed by a formulation. This helps in mapping out your main presenting difficulty and its key maintaining factors by capturing the role of significant past events, relationships and attachments. We can then work out together how to move out of these cycles and towards change.
