Hi, my name is May. I have moved to UK with my family from Hong Kong since May, 2021. I have worked as a family/ Couple counsellor for over 18 years both in Hong Kong and UK. My counselling experience is also including working with different ethnicities and cultural backgrounds, like British, Chinese, South Asian, Asian, oversea Chinese and Hong Konger etc,. I like hearing people different life stories which are always amazing and understand how hard that they have been through. I have lots of experience working with family of origin and relationship issues as well.
Leaving my homeland to settle in a new country has never been easy. I am sure this will become a golden opportunity for me to understand people from different backgrounds and cultures. My counselling approach is more on family therapy based with humanistic theories, such as Bowen's and Satir's model, which help me to understand a person in a family context.
