Hi, thank you for visiting my profile. If you are looking for a therapist to work through aspects of your life that are causing you distress, if you are feeling out of control or you are trying to make sense of your feelings and you want to work through these issues, let's see if I can help you. I offer a free, no obligation initial consultation. If you want to take it further, with regular sessions, I can offer in-depth, relational counselling and psychotherapy. This would be, either face to face sessions from The Practice Rooms in Exeter, online via zoom or walk and talk in and around the beautiful Torbay coastline.
Depending on your needs, I use a variety of techniques and models but these are grounded in the fundamentals of Transactional Analysis. My approach comes from a belief in mutual respect and valuing self and others. We can explore the deeper meaning of why we do the things we do, patterns of behaviour, raising awareness and understanding, supporting change.
Having worked in the NHS for 40 years as a midwife and a nurse, as a trainee psychotherapist I am able to combine my skills, experience and knowledge of pregnancy, birth, parenthood into my work as a therapist. Adapting to change, dealing with stress and anxiety, trying to get through difficult times can trigger deep emotions, it can help to talk to someone.
