At times, we can all experience difficult thoughts and feelings or a sense of being “stuck”: counselling can help us work through these, develop a better relationship with ourselves and those around us, and gain clarity and insight into the issues that are causing us problems. I believe that we all possess the resources to work through our problems, but at times these can become hidden and feel out of reach. My aim is to help you identify what you need and re-connect with your own resources.
From my own experience of counselling, I understand how it can support us when we find ourselves in challenging situations, and help us change and grow as individuals. It can allow us to put important life events in context, understand how our past may be influencing our present, and help us look forward to the future.
I will accept you non-judgementally as the unique individual that you are, and ensure that you feel you are heard and understood. I have experience of working with a wide range of issues in my private practice. I have undertaken extra training in trauma and I volunteer at a charity which offers counselling to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
