My name is Luke Smith and I am a qualified integrative counsellor (MBACP) and EMDR therapist (PG Cert). I have experience working in the NHS, educational settings and the charity sector, helping clients with a variety of needs to overcome difficulties in their lives and improve their mental health. I have a true passion for helping those who struggle with their mental health and treat it as a huge honour and privilege when people choose to put their trust in me to do so. I have been in clinical practice since 2020 and have over 18 years experience of working with people who are seeking to improve their mental health.
Counselling can be short-term or long-term. The number of sessions will depend on the work required. This will be discussed in our initial free phone call as well as being an ongoing part of the therapy should you decide to go ahead.
The process begins with an initial free assessment via telephone which will last no longer than 20 minutes. This enables us to discuss the reason you are considering therapy and to establish whether you think I am the right therapist for you
