I am an Integrative Counsellor (MBACP) and I work with adults both in-person and online on a wide range of behavioural, emotional, and relationship issues. I am here to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their thoughts and feelings and facilitate self-awareness and movement towards healing and growth. I have been trained in a number of modalities including person-centred, psychodynamic, existential, cognitive, and relational approaches. My practice also draws on embodied/somatic approaches to trauma. My approach is tailored to the client and what works best for each individual.
I am experienced working with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and family issues. My continuous professional development (CPD) is particularly focused on relationship and intimacy issues and relational trauma. I am also experienced and interested in working with clients involved in anti-social behaviour and the criminal justice system.
After a brief initial consultation, our first session will be spent understanding what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to get out of counselling. In this session, we will decide if we are a good fit and whether to commit to ongoing counselling. It is important to me that you feel comfortable so that we can build a therapeutic relationship.
