I am a qualified psychotherapist. My practise offers a safe, supportive and confidential space for clients who work within the music and entertainment industries. Alongside my practise I work in the music industry so I can identify with problems that can arise from these areas which I've found to be both helpful and supportive to clients. Whilst all may appear great on the outside, I understand how in reality life can feel very lonely in such high pressurised situations for artists and industry professionals and family members of. The management of family/personal life versus life on the road, commitments to
deliver others expectations and your own can all get in the way of being creative and often this leads to a block. The results of building trusted and supportive relationships can be problematic within this industry resulting in addictions and isolation for example. I also work with clients who have partners/family members that work within this umbrella .
As a psychodynamic psychotherapist I look towards the past to make connections with the present. I've found this way of working an essential tool in moving forward or becoming unstuck and ultimately helping with the reasons that you have come to therapy in the first place.
