Using an integrative relational model of psychotherapy I build an approach which is tailored to meet the unique requirements of each individual client. My approach is predominantly talking based but I always incorporate the body as a way of accessing deeply held emotions. You may want to address a specific issue such as anxiety, panic attacks or a difficult life event. On the other hand you may want to examine something more deep rooted and indefinable. Perhaps you have noticed a recurring pattern of behaviour which is causing you pain in your life, or more general feelings of depression or unhappiness.
I provide a safe, confidential space in the beautiful Welsh countryside to explore whatever is proving difficult for you. We will start with talking therapy, and if appropriate move onto body work, art therapy and occasionally canine assisted therapy, always after prior discussion and with the agreement of the client.
Making the decision to seek help can be difficult in itself. Once you have made initial contact the next step will be to organise a consultation where we will assess your aims for therapy and our suitability to work together. The relationship between therapist and client is the main indicator of success in therapy, so it’s important we’re a good fit.
