Is your child having issues at school and at home? School life can be stressful for young people today and even a bright student can struggle at some point in their school career. Slipping grades and behavioral issues may be indicators that your child is facing some social and emotional challenges. Some of these outward and internal personal struggles are a normal part of growing up, especially during adolescence. Sometimes children need some strategies to cope and build self confidence, and an impartial listener who is neither a parent or a teacher!
I am a qualified school counsellor, a former teacher and proud parent of 2 daughters. My speciality is in helping school aged young people to navigate through the choppy waters they encounter. I offer an early intervention with therapy that is intended to be short term, and can provide the necessary skills to cope, so that they successfully move forward.
I offer a confidential service where young people can be heard and not feel judged. I help students use their own skills and experience to make changes. Students are empowered to make positive decisions, and be proactive in taking responsibility for future behaviour.
