We all experience difficult times in our lives, whether it be through trauma, loss, being diagnosed with a chronic/terminal illness, or life’s natural cycle of events. Maybe you’re not sure what’s causing you to feel like you’re struggling, sometimes we don’t know why we feel sad, angry, anxious or depressed together we can unravel things and look at how we can increase your resilience. Working in an integrative way I use different theoretical approaches to empower you to make to make the best decisions for yourself. I offer a safe therapeutic space where you can talk things over and to move forward and feel more fulfilled.
I work with teenagers and adults offering support to help them make sense of their world. Counselling shows us how our minds and bodies reflect our unconscious we can become hypervigilant following a traumatic event affecting our lives in ways we are not aware of. My passion is seeing people grow from being insecure to confident and empowered.
I use Rewind Therapy (accredited practitioner) with people who have PTSD (www.iartt.com). I am a counsellor in university/secondary schools locally. I've experienced therapy and recognise that as a client it’s important to feel connected with your counsellor. The initial session gives us both the opportunity to see if we feel comfortable working together.
