I offer individual therapy sessions for children and young adults in a safe, confidential, compassionate and non-judgemental therapeutic space. I am a warm and thoughtful qualified Art psychotherapist with the aim to help you to express and explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences which can then begin to be processed. Working holistically, we will use both talking and creative therapeutic approaches including story, art making, drama and movement. There are no expectations for you to be experienced in any of these disciplines but they can be another avenue by which to express your feelings when words are too difficult.
You will be supported to explore any uncomfortable or confusing feelings and experiences that may be holding you back in life, with the opportunity to feel truly heard and accepted. Being creative within therapy can help us to express, process and integrate complex feelings that may have previously felt somewhat “beyond words”.
Having worked in NHS, cancer care and a cognitive centre, I currently work in schools and private practice supporting those with a range of issues, including anxiety, low self-esteem, bereavement to social, emotional and communication difficulties. I offer a tailored approach to suit each client’s needs which is reviewed throughout the therapeutic process.
