Clients access therapy for a multitude of reasons; there may be difficulties at work, challenges in a relationship or a client may have been abused spanning a number of years. My hope with therapy is to explore the roots of issues, to rediscover our innate resilience, to build self-esteem and to help you meet your goals, your hopes, your wishes. Many people access therapy because they want to feel different, to change the emotions they are experiencing, or for others it may be learning to access those feelings that have perhaps been locked away through trauma. I specialise in trauma and am neurodivergent friendly.
My belief is that we are all individuals and therefore I do not fit you to a theory, instead I use the theoretical underpinning of various models to work with you as the individual you are. I provide a safe, empathic, non-judgmental, accepting environment where you can explore the issues you may be experiencing. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy.
Reaching out for therapy can be scary, daunting, exciting even and sometimes it requires us to step outside of our comfort zone. I will be alongside you as you enter the journey of therapy, accepting you as you and creating a safe space whereby you can work through the issues that are challenging you.
