There can be times in our lives when we experience distressing events or feelings which seem overwhelming. This can be due to a particular circumstance such as difficulties in our current relationships, work related stress, illness, bereavement, or dealing with painful memories from our childhood. Sometimes we have no idea what is making us feel the way we do. All we know is that life has become distressing, or even intolerable. It could be at these times a talking therapy may be a helpful option.
I have worked as a therapist for over 20 years in a variety of settings, including as a staff counsellor at a London teaching hospital and a university counselling service. I am experienced in providing short term focused counselling or longer term psychoanalytic therapy. I am qualified to see couples having trained with Relate as a Relationship Counsellor.

Weekly Therapy Group for Adults
The thought of joining a therapy group, might seem daunting, but it is a safe and confidential space. The group provides the opportunity to explore the interpersonal relationships that emerge between group members. This process facilitates personal understanding that can lead to change. A therapy group is particularly useful if you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, a history of unprocessed trauma, bereavement or loss. There are up to eight members of the group with one therapist. The group is not structured and the members all contribute to the issues that are discussed. Please contact me for more information.
