Talking about domestic abuse can feel daunting and humiliating and you might question if it was your fault. The abuse might have happened at any point from childhood through to your senior years. You might still have contact your abuser which can fill you with fear and dread knowing that their response will be more threatening and degrading words. You might be afraid of what others think of you for speaking out, but I’m here to listen and always validate your feelings. You might feel as if your experience, “isn’t too bad,” but any level of abuse can shatter your life, destroy your wellbeing and make you feel isolated and alone.
I can’t take your experiences away from you, but counselling with me can help you to find a path where happiness and courage seems possible. Together we can find ways to ease your feelings of fear and anxiety. I will offer an integrated approach to counselling giving you a place where you can understand your own self-worth to create a future for yourself.
