Hello, I’m Kate. I’m a UKCP registered Adolescent and Adult Psychotherapist working in Hackney and have 20 years experience as working as a psychotherapist. In addition to my private practice, I manage a secondary and Sixth form counselling service, providing long and short-term therapy to young people and adult staff members. People of all ages, from adults to young individuals, arrive at my door seeking support for a variety of challenges. I have experience in helping clients navigate through anxiety-related disorders, family issues, bereavement, compulsive behaviours, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, and childhood trauma.
I specialise in assisting individuals who find themselves at crossroads in life, feeling stuck or facing difficult circumstances. Whatever the struggle may be, I am here to provide understanding and guidance on the path to healing and growth. My therapeutic approach is all about building strong connections and creating a warm, empathetic environment.
I combine different therapeutic methods, including person-centred therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, arts-based therapy, and offer grounding and mindfulness technique to individuals who struggle with anxiety. I pay close attention to the way our bodies hold onto trauma, which can play a crucial role in the healing process.
