Since I qualified in 2003 I have gained a lot of experience of working with individuals and couples. Expanding my practice to include the supervision of the work completed by other Counsellors. Many of my clients have experienced traumatic events in their lives, often suffering from stress and anxiety which is impacting their everyday life. By exploring such events we can reduce the impact they have on the life of the client, lower stress and anxiety levels. Self medication and relationship issues can be a common theme with many clients. By discovering the reasons why clients behave this way we can explore healthier life choice.
Each potential client is unique and I endeavour to customise my approach to suit each individual. My integrative approach combines many of the humanistic ideals with TA psychotherapy. This means I work with both everyday and deeper seated issues. Ranging from childhood trauma, family/relationship problems, issues with food and other addictive behaviour.
Through providing the necessary help and support I endeavour to provide a safe and secure space for clients to feel able to discuss their issues. Gently encouraging each client to find their own way forward by listening to, and focusing on, their problems. Being present throughout their journey whatever challenges may arise during the time we work together.
