Whilst many of us have supportive family and friends who can help with difficulties we face, at times, the closeness of these relationships can detract from our personal journey of growth and discovery. Whilst I appreciate that the thought of counselling may be a difficult step, we will walk the journey together. Offering a neutral perspective throughout sessions, we will explore any issues you wish to share. Providing a therapeutic relationship with honesty and empathy, we will look into any difficulty within a non-judgmental and confidential space at a pace which enables thorough reflection and scope for change.
Our first session will give you the opportunity to talk through your current difficulties. I will listen and support you through this and I will advise on the type of therapy that I would initially start with and how I propose we can work together.
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor/Psychotherapist with a Foundation Degree (with merit) in Integrative Counselling. I have gained the BACP accreditation which provides a benchmark to the high quality of my work. At the heart of my practice is the understanding that our relationship is the key component for successful therapeutic outcomes.
