Hello. I am an experienced, compassionate counsellor / psychotherapist and EMDR practitioner working face to face, online or by telephone. Therapy can make a huge positive difference to your life, but I know that accessing it can be daunting, so I will make the process as comfortable as possible. Working in various sectors over the years, I have gained experience in working with many different issues, for example bereavement and loss, low self esteem, life changes, domestic abuse, issues around identity, culture, sexual violence, anxiety, relationships, employment issues, health or disability, anger, fertility and low mood.
I am trained in different approaches, tailored to suit you. Some clients like creative techniques, e.g. art therapy, imagery, writing or sandtray, or to use EMDR, which helps to shift 'stuck' or intrusive memories. All can be powerful. I encourage open communication and regular reviews to ensure the therapy fits and that you feel safe and heard throughout.
I work ethically and in your best interest, being accredited with UKCP and registered with BACP and EMDR UK. I have an enhanced DBS, full insurance and am registered with the ICO.
