Life can be hard and there can be times when we struggle to cope. Whatever your reason for coming to counselling, whether you are looking for short-term support for specific difficulties or trying to make sense of long-term, ongoing thoughts, feelings or patterns impacting your life, I am here to help. I am an Integrative Counsellor, which means I can draw on different therapeutic approaches and theories in our work together, depending on your needs. These approaches are based in Person Centred and Psychodynamic Theory.
I will be led by you and what you bring to the sessions. We can explore your past and present experiences and their influence on your current wellbeing. It is important to me that you feel seen, heard and understood. I will work with you to help you gain understanding and meaning about the way you are feeling, increasing your self-awareness.
For me, the relationship between the counsellor and client is the most important factor of the counselling process. It is key that you find a counsellor you feel comfortable with and trust. I offer a warm, gentle, compassionate, non-judgmental and non-directive approach where you will feel safe to explore your thoughts and feelings freely.
