Acknowledging that you are struggling to cope with the daily life is hard and the first step to taking control of your life. Often people don’t feel that their problems are worth contacting a therapist about, as "others have it worse" and try to push the uncomfortable feelings away and carry on. Therapy isn't about blaming yourself or passing responsibility it's about working together with another individual to validate your experiences and understand your patterns of behaviour. We will then work together to help you make positive changes for a more fulfilled life. I am a therapist and supervisor and work with teens and adults.
I work with relationship issues, anxiety, depression, gender, identity, LGBTQ+ issues and trauma. I am part of the LGBTQ+ community and I understand how this can impact your life in the past and present. Every persons experience is individual and unique, together we will make sense of past experiences, and help you to make positive changes fr the future.
Building a trusting relationship is the key to successful therapy. There is no manual to work from as therapy is different for everyone and your sessions will be based on your own individual needs and your specific aims. I believe everyone has the power to change and have a life they deserve, however sometimes we need a little help in making those changes.
