Starting therapy can be daunting. Perhaps you’re struggling with low self-esteem, low moods or anxiety. Maybe you find that you often put others first or struggle to set boundaries. Maybe you’re in a place to explore and learn about yourself. My role is to facilitate a relationship based on mutual trust, where we can explore your sense of self, process old and new conflicts, and begin to learn how to manage any difficulties you may have.
I am a relational integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. That means I believe that understanding and valuing relationships, how we are with others, and more importantly, how we are with ourselves, can offer us great insight and understanding of difficult or painful feelings, experiences and core beliefs.
The relationship you create with your therapist should feel safe, compassionate and non-judgemental, allowing you to explore areas that might feel painful. Taking that first step to finding the right therapist can be difficult. I am open to discussing your needs and goals for therapy before the first session to help you get started on your journey.
