I work with adolescents and young people aged 12-25, with my expertise in working with care experienced young people. I am compassionate, empathetic, understanding and am committed to creating a warm, safe, non-judgemental space in which to explore whatever has brought you to Therapy. When a young person feels heard in an empathic, non-judgemental way, by someone separate from their lives, it allows them the freedom to explore their feelings without fear of being judged.
My work is underpinned by Developmental, Relational, and Trauma-Informed approaches, which takes into consideration how your early life and experiences may be influencing you presently. As an integrative therapist, I use a range of different therapeutic approaches to adapt to the unique needs of each client.
I use evidence-based practices, expressive arts, mindfulness tools and psycho-education to help young people connect with their inner world. My goal in working with young people is to help them gain the skills needed to effectively deal with challenges, regulate emotions, as well as learn to express their needs and worries appropriately.
