Many of us experience times in our lives when we feel overwhelmed, anxious or depressed. Relationship difficulties or significant life events can bring huge change or loss or perhaps you recognise patterns in your life you would like to change. I offer a warm, empathic, safe space in which to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviours, finding effective strategies to help you move forwards in your life. As a Humanistic Psychotherapist, I believe we all have the potential for personal growth and healing given the right circumstances.
My experience is wide ranging and includes working with low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, bereavement and loss, relationship issues, abandonment, domestic violence, abuse and attachment issues. I work with adults over 18 years and couples, offering both short-term and open ended work.
I work relationally, believing that the therapeutic relationship can be hugely supportive in exploring past hurts and repeated patterns of behaviour that may hold you back from engaging with life in a more fulfilling way. Being truly heard or seen can be incredibly healing, and can move you towards healthier relationships, both with yourself and with others.
