Many people know that they want to speak with a therapist, but are a afraid that their 'stuff' might shock or hurt them. PLEASE trust me - I do understand how awful life can be, how cruel some people can be, how we do things to survive that we wish we hadn't. Try me - you will find that I am not going to be shocked or hurt, and that I can listen with understanding, warmth and without judgment, for as long as it takes to put your demons to rest and move on with your life.
I specialise in Addictions and Substance Misuse,. Working alongside addicts, family and careers as the disease of addiction affects not only the addicts but family, friends etc. Trauma, abuse, injustice, bereavement. I can help you explore any thoughts or feeling, past or present. Using the person-centred approach you are the centre to our sessions.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship between the counsellor and the client is paramount and this is down to emotional connection. I will provide a safe and confidential space. During these session, it will give you time to process, any thoughts you feel unable to discuss with others, and in turn find them more manageable.
