Hello, I am a Counselling Psychologist and work with adults and children who are struggling to cope with different types of distress. This might be depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, OCD, addictions, bereavement, gender identity, trauma, relationship difficulties etc. Whatever difficulties you are having, we would begin with an assessment to learn more about what brings you to therapy, think about your goals for treatment and formulate a plan for which approach might be most helpful. It is also an opportunity for you to see if you feel we are the right fit.
I have training in several approaches including cognitive behavioural, psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment therapy, compassion focussed, mindfulness and brief solution focussed therapy. Every client is unique so I will draw on a variety of these modalities depending on what you may bring to therapy so I can offer you a bespoke, integrative approach.
We all face distress, but how we respond to it can hugely impact our wellbeing. I am passionate about helping people develop new coping mechanisms and narratives that build their resilience to the stresses that life can present us with. The foundation for this work is a strong, containing, compassionate therapeutic relationship, where you feel listened to.
