I believe that counselling in a warm , empathic therapeutic relationship can facilitate a deeper understanding of the problems and difficulties you are experiencing. I see my role as one of creating a safe, empathic and non judgemental space where we can explore what has been troubling you and together develop some new awareness and coping strategies to enable you to lead a more fulfilling and balanced life in the present.
I have over 15 years experience of working as a counsellor and Psychotherapist. I am experienced in supporting clients with a range of mental health problems , including; Depression, anxiety, domestic abuse, bereavement, relationship difficulties, suicidal thoughts. I am also a qualified children and young people's counsellor and clinical supervisor.
I have worked with a children and young people's counselling service for the past 8 years . Also with a charity supporting bereaved individuals, Women's Aid and in private practice.
