Sometimes, things happen that can be too hard to manage by yourself. Are you feeling stressed, anxious, scared or alone? Are your relationships going wrong? Has something bad happened to you? Do you need to make a decision but you're not sure where to turn? Has someone you know died and it's affecting you more than you think it should? Would it help to talk to someone who's outside of the situation?

I believe we are all susceptible, at some point in our lives, to feeling overwhelmed by what life can bring. Sometimes we encounter experiences that are hard for us to come to terms with leaving us in need of support, this may be in the form of a bereavement, a relationship breakdown, a job loss; any event that we struggle to comprehend and understand. Other times a series of events may have taken place that leave us feeling like we are walking under a big black cloud and fail to see a way forward. At times like this counselling can help.

I imagine that you have found yourself on my profile from getting to a place where you've said 'I need a therapist'. You may also have recognized other parts of your life experience that require the attention of a professional. I am Sade and I aim to support you with those emotional, psychological and life's difficulties. I also realize that not everyone has a main 'problem' as such. We sometimes simply want to understand ourselves better, figure out how we end up in the situations we keep finding ourselves and explore our feelings discreetly without judgement. Whatever your reason for seeking therapy at this time, I welcome you.

I appreciate looking for a therapist may feel overwhelming. I offer a non-judgmental space to examine what brought you to this decision. Whether a life event has changed how you feel about yourself and others, or a longer-term pattern has created relationship and life difficulties, we can explore this within the safety of the therapeutic relationship. I believe there are parts of ourselves that are difficult to perceive alone, and through relationship with a validating, compassionate other, we are able to enhance our awareness of ourselves and the world around us, gaining insight, which allows us to live more authentically.

My therapy practice is called Lemon Tree Therapy and I currently work online offering both, video and telephone appointments. I have worked and trained within the field of mental health services for more than 11 years now and I have practiced as a therapist for 7 years. As an integrative therapist I incorporate different approaches into my practice and tailor my approach around clients’ needs. I put a lot of emphasis on the importance of the therapeutic relationship as I recognise how important it is for clients to feel safe.

My name is Julie and I love living in the city, the hustle and bustle of life and human connection. I worked in hospitality management for 25 years and understand the pressures of working full time while running a business and a home. Infertility Counsellors
How can infertility affect couples and their relationship?
Clients who are dealing with infertility may experience conflict and communication problems. It’s not unusual for shame, blame, and guilt to arise in cases of infertility, whether the source of the problem is one partner or both. This means that clients are upset and pulling away from their partner just when they need them the most. Some clients may find it difficult to spend time around friends and family who are pregnant. Friends and family can also make hurtful comments that increase tension during this time.
How does therapy for infertility issues work?
The therapist will begin by gathering information about the client or couple and make a treatment plan for their specific concerns. In addition to addressing common mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma reactions or PTSD, therapists can help clients improve their decision-making and deal with stressors unique to infertility. Some examples include coping with the “two-week wait” before a pregnancy test, the distress associated with a failed attempt or miscarriage, and the shame and blame sometimes associated with reproductive concerns.
What type of therapy is best for infertility issues?
Many therapists offer psychotherapy for individuals and couples who are dealing with infertility issues. Some helpful therapeutic approaches include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which can aid clients in reframing negative thoughts about their situation. Expressive writing and art therapy can help clients process difficult feelings. Clients might also benefit from group therapy to experience support from others who are dealing with the same problems.
How long does therapy for infertility issues take?
There is no set length for therapy that addresses infertility or reproductive concerns. Some clients might find it helpful to continue therapy during their pregnancy to have healthy ways to cope with any associated stress, anxiety, depression, or trauma. Some clients who decide not to pursue fertility treatments might benefit from the support of a therapist. The duration of therapy varies depending on the individual client’s specific needs and goals.
